Hello, ‘ow’s it going, you alright? I’m Gary, an award winning UK and destination documentary wedding photographer.
Specialising in unposed storytelling, I do things a bit differently from traditional wedding photographers. Your wedding should be exactly that — your wedding. A day spent having fun with your friends and family, not standing around feeling awkward, being told how to pose and where to look.
I get right in there with everyone and document people being people. Think of me as another guest who just happens to have a camera. I’ll chat, laugh, get involved and capture everything as it naturally happens.
And that whole “you won’t even know I’m there” thing? It’s a load of bollox.
Of course you’ll know I’m there. The difference is that, before long, you’ll stop thinking of me as the photographer. I’ll feel more like one of your mates — part of the party — and that’s when everything starts to feel natural. Everyone relaxes, forgets about the camera, and I can capture the genuine moments that tell the real story of your day.

I bloody love a good dance floor.
I’ll be there for the very last song and the tearful goodbyes because wedding photography doesn’t stop after the first dance. That’s when the real fun starts: shoes off, hair down and questionable dance moves in full swing.
I’ll capture all the chaos, laughs and moments you probably won’t remember — but definitely should.
Because every story needs an ending!

I seek out real moments on your wedding day. No posing, nothing scripted. Just you, your family and friends enjoying the best day of your life. A wedding is one big party and you should be enjoying every second with your loved ones. Surely, this is what life is all about? Not off for hours with a photographer being told how to stand and feel uncomfortable.
This is YOUR DAY and it is finally here, so just enjoy yourself and let me, as your witness, document and deliver hundreds of photos you won’t even know were happening. My intention is for you, your family and friends to feel like they have a friend documenting the day. That way, I get the licence to be in their zone capturing honest moments that 100% showcase their personalities.

Couple time, let's keep this SIMPLE
Even as a documentary wedding photographer, I still think you should have a few photos of the two of you. But don’t worry — no cheesy, cringey wedding photos here.
You don’t need to disappear for hours either. Fifteen minutes before dinner is perfect. Just the two of you, away from the madness, having a breather and taking it all in.
I’ll find the good light, give you a little direction when needed and keep things moving. No awkward posing, no Pinterest poses, no forced nonsense.
Just you two, being yourselves — which is far more important than following the latest wedding trend.
