Away from weddings, I sometimes shoot family photography in and around Bude. It is something I love to do especially with families. Having the same approach with weddings with a natural and relaxed feel is perfect for me. Especially for families that are a bit camera shy. You do not have to worry about any of this with me.
The Wilmers were on holiday in Bude Cornwall and this is something they do every year. So it was amazing to document their beach evening before having some pizza for dinner. We couldn’t have asked for better weather to be honest. Blue skies, nice and warm but not too hot. The only negative was how busy it was around Crooklets beach. This was what they thought anyway.
As I only live a few minutes walk away from Rosies Cafe, I know all the little hidden spots that are very quiet. This shoot would not have been the same if we did it on the busy part of the beach. Not just because of people in the photos, but for the relaxed feel and of course this would have made the lovely family feel uncomfortable. So thankfully, the tide was low and we could walk to my favourite part of the beach where I take my dogs daily.
