Casa Do Largo Wedding Photographer
First destination wedding since Ibiza 2019 and what a bloody day it was. Like many couples in 2020, Caroline + Aaron’s wedding in Vilamoura Portugal sadly was postponed due to the C word. An extra 2 year delay was in the pipeline but all good things come to those who wait. Caroline + Aaron asked me to be their Casa Do Largo wedding photographer way back in 2018. So the good times well and truly arrived when we finally made it to Casa Do Largo.
The day arrived and bloody hell it was hot. My poor little Fujifilm X100V was on the verge of melting but it dd me proud and soldiered on. Luckily for us, Casa Do Largo’s reception room is air con heaven.
After the ceremony, myself Caroline + Aaron went for a small walk around Casa Do Largo village. The grounds are stunning with a real Portugal old town vibe with beautiful flowers throughout. The couple photos took place around 5pm so it was much cooler by then. My Fujifilm X100V definitely appreciated this!
The evening was carnage. In a good way of course. Maybe it was due to so many delays or there was something different in the Portuguese alcohol. Whatever it was, I absolutely loved every second of that dance floor. A big factor was the drum n bass playlist that made me feel like I was 13 again. Nostagla!
Massive thank you to Caroline + Aaron for inviting me to be their wedding photographer at Casa Do Largo. We may have nearly melted but it was well worth it in the end. The drum n bass rave was well worth the trip alone!
