Colchester Town Hall wedding photographer
It was July 2021. Weddings were back, but not 100% back. We still had the limit of people and no dance floor indoors. Of course, it was not perfect but it was the step in the right direction. It was a lot more positive than 12 months before and from a selfish point of view it just felt good to be around people again, documenting happiness. Does this sound a bit cheesy? Yeah I suppose it does a bit but believe me, I think I can talk for every wedding photographer how good it felt to be back. You don’t know how much you love something until it’s gone eh!
This was my first time at Colchester Town Hall in bloody years. Pretty sure the last time I was at Colchester Town Hall was assisting another wedding photographer. At this time, I was only doing the whole photography thing on the side. How times have changed.
Times changed for the best of course as I get to meet people like Poppy + Matt. Going ahead with the restrictions at the time, Poppie + Matt also went ahead with the reception back at Matt’s Mums. First of all, this was such a good idea. The first being they could enjoy a first dance outside and second of all, it made the day even more intimate.
