Cornish Pro Wrestling Photography
Ever since I was 6 wrestling has been a massive part of my life. I remember turning 14 and other kids would make fun of me for watching it. The days of ‘2 sweeting’ and telling teachers to ‘suck it’ had passed. So you would think the wrestling love would end but it actually becomes more addictive as an adult. One of my all time goals in photography was to shoot a live show and Cornish Pro Wrestling offered me that chance. It honestly was an amazing evening and I enjoyed the entire experience.
Cornish Pro Wrestling (CPW UK) is Cornwall’s only home grown pro-wrestling promotion and was established in 2015. The live event took place at Penstowe Manor where I actually shot a wedding just a few weeks later. If you fancy it, have a read of the blog for Sara + Chris’ wedding.
Having the best seat in the house, being so close to these superior men and women was an absolute pleasure. Every single one of them are bloody talented and deserve so much credit for what they do inside and outside of the ring. It takes a lot of bollox to take the bumps that they have to take just to entertain us fans.
I am now a part of the Cornish Pro Wrestling family, therefore, can see myself with a few more photography gigs down the line. In conclusion, it is a complete different ball game to wedding photography and you will have to expect very low light. Luckily, my FujiFilm cameras were up to the job so I now can’t wait for the next phone call. 4 LIFE!!!!
