I approach every wedding in an unobtrusive way and a lot of the time you won’t even realise I am there because of this. My main aim is for you, your family and friends to feel like they have a friend documenting the day. This, to me, is so important.
I have been shooting documentary wedding photography in Essex as well as other areas of the UK for just over 2 years now. Growing up in Stanford le Hope Essex, this county has a big place in my heart.
Often getting bad press for the wrong reasons (let’s be honest, what place doesn’t these days) people seem to stereotype the Essex folk. For example, white Ford Escorts and tan-tastic girls (or guys) is what you see published on the internet. I did own a white Ford Escort once but the less said about that the better, so let’s move on swiftly to the main purpose of this write up!
We are often blinded by the media stereotype and forgot how beautiful Essex is. I myself, started to believe the stereotypes until I became an Essex documentary wedding photographer.
I love a good dance floor! I will be with you until the party ends! Documentary wedding photography does not end at the first dance in my opinion, especially in Essex (‘oh shut up’!). If I want to show you a full story that is captured in a candid, reportage way, then I have to be here for the dancing.
This is when you can now let your hair down, take your heels off, slip into your white personalised converse and party with your loved ones. I want to be there, as your witness and show you what you might not remember! You will see me hopping in and out of that packed floor looking for natural, fun moments so please do not be alarmed.
These moments drive me on and I can not help but get involved due to this. I feel I owe it to all of my clients to be the last man standing so they have someone sober to document all the fun of the dance floor.
