So this will be the easiest content I ever write. Why? Because I love dogs. In fact, dogs are my life along with many other wonderful animals. But dogs are humans companions. They will always be there for you no matter what.
I live on a little farm with ponies, cats, chickens and of course, dogs. Before I become a wedding photographer, I wanted any job that involved helping animals. So the fact I now get to take photos of dogs at weddings is just my dream come true.
From my experience of having dogs at weddings, is that it only brings more love to the scene. Of course, I have to remind myself that I am working so I can’t just roll around on the floor cuddling them. I am rather soppy like that. But from my candid approach, closely observing people with their furry best pals, it just helps the photo look even more natural.
Surrounded by dogs, people forgot who is watching and are not afraid to show their love for dogs. This is certainly how I feel anyway.
Traditional weddings are a thing of the past these days and I am all for it. Not that traditional weddings are a bad thing. But I feel it’s amazing that you can make your wedding exactly how you want it.
Not many people have their dog walk down the isle bearing the ring. That alone sets you away from the traditional wedding and of course, will make everyone so happy. Which is always a bonus for us wedding photographers.
Easy one for me, bring all the dogs along if the venue allows it. For me, if I was arranging our wedding again, I would hire a venue that caters for dogs. Dogs at weddings bring so much love and joy to your day. I personally could not live without them.
