Being completely honest, Ibiza was never place I have visited or even intended to. Sure, when I was younger I had plenty of lads holidays in places like Magaulf, Malia and Tenerife. But I never got around to doing the whole Ibiza experience and before I knew it I was a Dad.

But in 2019 I had the opportunity to be a photographer for an Ibiza wedding. It was an amazing experience and I could not believe how beautiful it is. Like most of us, we stereotype Ibiza as clubbing, drunken madness.

Far from it. Ibiza has stunning countryside settings and the main harbour in San Antinio is a lovely place for Tapas and a walk. Of course, you still have the iconic clubbing scene if this rocks your boat.

Talking of boats, boat parties are a big thing here. The day after the crazy Can Beia wedding was a day to see more of Ibiza. From my time down at the beach I could see so many boats with crazy Brits partying (OK, I am sure they was not all Brits) but it looked epic. The music was spot on with so many cheerful people who was using this time to forget about the 9-5 job.

If you follow my work regularly you will know I love a party. Well, my time in Ibiza was no different. The Can Beia wedding from 2019 did not end until 4am. This resulted in 1 memory card full of party, dancing action shots (a reminded to always have more equipment than you need).

Not that I was complaining. The party was full of every single person dancing and singing the night away. Due to lot’s of Ibiza wedding receptions being set in the hills, this gives you the license to make as much noise as you wish. Result!

Ibiza Wedding Photographer

Love this place like I never thought I would. We stereotype so many things now as humans and sometimes we do not even realise. Ibiza has a bit of everything. If you are looking for non stop partying with your pals then it’s for you. Or, if you want more of a relaxed holiday with some great food then it’s for you.

For weddings it is an absolute no brainer. The wedding I shot in 2019 had family and friends partying and relaxing together a week before the wedding. The day after the wedding the Bride & Groom hosted a pool party with a BBQ. It’s a great way to not just celebrate your wedding but make so many more memories together.
