Being completely honest, Ibiza was never really on my radar. When I was younger I did the usual lads’ holidays to Magaluf, Malia and Tenerife, but somehow never made it to Ibiza. Then before I knew it, I was a dad and those days were well and truly behind me. 😂

That changed in 2019 when I travelled over as an Ibiza wedding photographer for the first time. I quickly realised there’s a hell of a lot more to this island than clubs and drunken madness.

Since then I’ve been lucky enough to return and photograph more weddings here, including an incredible wedding at Aiyanna Ibiza. Beautiful light, ridiculous scenery, people from all over the world and some of the best wedding parties I’ve photographed.

Weddings In Ibiza

Ibiza surprised the hell out of me. Away from the clubs there are beautiful beaches, countryside, little villages, incredible food and some ridiculous places to get married.

Of course, if you want the other side of Ibiza, that’s very much still there too. Boat parties, beach bars, DJs and dancing until nobody has any idea what time it is.

That mix is what I love about photographing weddings here. You can have a relaxed ceremony overlooking the Mediterranean, disappear for golden-hour photos and then end the night with one of the best bloody parties of your life.

If you follow my work, you’ll already know I bloody love a dance floor. Ibiza weddings obviously take that to another level.

I’m not packing the cameras away after the first dance either. Some of my favourite photographs happen hours later when the ties have disappeared, the tequila has arrived and absolutely everyone is on the dance floor.

That’s a massive part of being an Ibiza wedding photographer for me. I want to photograph the whole atmosphere — not just the beautiful ceremony and golden light, but the ridiculous party that follows it too.

Ibiza knows how to throw a wedding. And I’m very happy to stay for it.

Ibiza Wedding Photographer

I love Ibiza far more than I ever expected to. It has everything — beaches, incredible food, beautiful venues, sunsets and, obviously, some bloody ridiculous parties.

But what I really love about destination weddings here is that it rarely feels like just one day. Your favourite people have travelled somewhere amazing together, so you can make a proper few days of it — welcome drinks, the wedding, beach days, pool parties and whatever happens afterwards.

That’s exactly how I approach being an Ibiza wedding photographer. I’m not just interested in the ceremony and a few pretty portraits. I want the people, atmosphere, chaos and all the little moments that make the whole experience yours.
