Launcells Barton Wedding Photographer
After moving to Cornwall in 2022 the same question I always heard was “is that not too far to travel”. Weddings have always been all over the place for me. Up north, abroad, London and many other places I have to travel to. But of course, the goal was to hopefully get more local weddings. Now into my 4th year in Cornwall, I have now started to get a lot more local weddings. Launcells Barton is literally a 10 minute drive from my house so I was very happy to finally work here as a wedding photographer.
A lovely (and very typical) wet, sunny then wet again Cornish wedding on Saturday. As a documentary wedding photographer, bad weather does not bother me. If anything, it helps create more interesting frames and showcases a classic British story. As story tellers, we are there to tell the couples story. If a bit of rain happens, so be it. There is nothing any of us can do about that so we just need to enjoy the day as it was.
As the rain continued, the wedding reception began with a superb live band. By this point, the typical British weather can be forgotten about as everyone can stay dry and dance. This was a brilliant wedding for my first time at Launcells Barton and I hope to be back very soon.
Thank you to Rachel & James for trusting in me to document your day. As a documentary wedding photographer, it is all about the people (no matter the weather) and I hope you could see that in the final results. It was a pleasure spending the day with you all with the highlight documenting a game of cricket! Outdoor wedding games are great and I highly recommend for any wedding.
