Lou Calen Wedding Photographer
From London to the South of France.
I’d already photographed Meridith + Patrick’s London wedding, so getting to join them again in the beautiful medieval village of Cotignac was pretty bloody special.
This time we were at Lou Calen.
And what a place.
People Being People in Provence
This wedding basically summed up everything I love about being a Lou Calen wedding photographer.
Beautiful surroundings, incredible food, music and a group of people genuinely enjoying each other’s company.
That’s all I need.
My approach is documentary, candid and completely unposed. As a photojournalist, I’m far more interested in conversations, laughter and little moments between people than constantly dragging couples away for photographs.
Just Let the Wedding Happen
Cotignac gave us a ridiculously beautiful backdrop, but the people still made the pictures.
That’s documentary wedding photography for me.
Let everyone eat. Drink. Talk. Laugh. Listen to music.
Let people be people.
And I’ll document the bloody lot.
Having already photographed Meridith + Patrick getting married in London made being their Lou Calen wedding photographer in France even more special.
Same couple.
Completely different place.
Still no bloody posing.
