Mapperton House & Gardens Wedding Photographer
What a beautiful venue this is. Mapperton house & gardens just a short 2 hour drive from my home in Cornwall. This was my first time here in Dorsett which ended up being a very, very rainy day. You will see from the photos below that it rained the entire day but this really does not need to put a negative on your day. I can vouch for that and I really do believe everyone from this wedding would agree. Of course, any wedding photographer that shoots at Mapperton House & Gardens would not wish for a rainy day. With so many grounds to walk around it would have been very nice with the sun helping out. But again, it does not mean the day was any worse because of the rain.
As a documentary wedding photographer, I thrive on real moments with real people. As Brits, the rain is something we are pretty much used to and we all like a good moan about it. Pretty sure though we also moan when it is too hot! I think you can probably get where I am going with this. Now, the introduction of umbrellas and people getting wet actually tells a brilliant, stereotypical British wedding.
Now again, I am not saying I want it to rain on your wedding day but I really do hope these photos help you not worry if it does. A wedding is one big party and you should be enjoying every second with your family and friends. If it rains, do not worry about it. You can still get some formals outside with the use of umbrellas. Apparently, it is also good luck when it rains on your wedding day so if anything just remember that.
