Milling Barn Wedding Photographer
Dani + Tom’s wedding at Milling Barn was an absolute beauty.
I’ve photographed weddings here a number of times over the years and it’s always a venue I’m bloody happy to come back to.
Milling Barn has loads of rustic character, gorgeous grounds and plenty going on throughout the day — basically everything I want as a Milling Barn wedding photographer.
Dani + Tom also brought in Fleur De Lace to style the venue.
I’d worked alongside them at Milling Barn before, so I already knew the place was going to look incredible.
And they didn’t disappoint.
Getting Married at Milling Barn
One of the things I really like about Milling Barn is that everything happens in one place.
That means less time travelling between different locations and more time actually enjoying your wedding.
Which sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

For me though, the venue is only part of the story.
The people are what make the photographs.
People Being People
I was with Dani + Tom from bridal prep right through until the DJ called it a night.
That’s a lot of hours with a camera.
But it’s also how I like working.
I’m not waiting around for the handful of moments traditionally considered important at a wedding.
I’m watching everything.
The laughs. The hugs. The nerves. Your mates taking the piss. Your family getting emotional. Someone who’s definitely had one tequila too many.
That’s what documentary wedding photography is all about for me.
Nothing needs recreating for the camera.
Let people be people.
I’ll worry about finding the photographs.
Couple Photos at Milling Barn
Of course we’ll still get some photos of the two of you.
But I’m not dragging you away from your wedding for an hour.
Give me around 15 minutes, some decent light and the two of you having a wander together.
That’s plenty.
Milling Barn has loads of lovely little areas around the venue and grounds, so we don’t need to turn it into some massive production.
A few relaxed photographs together.
Then straight back to your guests.
And Then Came the Tequila…
This is where things got properly fun.
The drinks started flowing, the dance-offs began and people gradually stopped giving a shit that there was a bloke wandering around with a camera.
Perfect.
This is exactly why I love being an all day wedding photographer.
Some of my favourite photographs from Dani + Tom’s entire wedding happened once everyone hit the dance floor.

People absolutely going for it.
