The NoMad Hotel Wedding Photographer
The last wedding of 2024 and my first time as a wedding photographer at The NoMad hotel in London. Originally set for March 2025, Ellie made a decision to bring her wedding forward due to unfortunate circumstances. Life can be so cruel and hit you when you least expect it. I won’t give anymore information than that as I do not feel it’s right but what I will say is this. Family and friends is what weddings all are about. Celebrating with your loved ones with the best party in years. Enjoy every second with them and ignore trends. Then, look back at your photos for the rest of your life and smile.
Wedding photography at The NoMad hotel leads to high creativity photos. This is all down to the low light throughout the venue but please do not think this is a bad thing. Actually quite the opposite. As photographers, we should never feel threatened by low light or be afraid. This gives us a perfect opportunity to think more which leads to being more creative. The NoMad hotel will give you that warm feeling throughout which is even more perfect for a winter wedding.
Ellie & Steve asked for no group photos and just a small window for couple photos. Perfect for a documentary wedding photographer and even though I recommend a few group photos, if this is what the couple want then the case is closed. The couple are the most important people, not the photographers portfolio. Instead, they enjoyed every second with family and friends right into midnight. The only negative, running from the venue to make the last train from Fenchurch Street back to Essex. Not the best idea when you just had a shot of whiskey with the wedding party.
