York Registry Office Wedding Photographer
The first wedding of 2025 opened with a trip up North for this Essex boy now living in Cornwall. The beauty of being a documentary wedding photographer means I get to travel the UK. With this style, clients from all over book me on my style and not the location. This is perfect and of course meant I got my first wedding photographer gig at York registry office. Tasha and Marcus wanted full on photojournalism with just a small 10 minute window for some formals. So, perfect for me.
After the ceremony, we walked to the Star Inn for food and speeches. This is a beautiful pub located on Museum Street and just a 10 minute walk from York registry office. This is ideal as en route is the Museum gardens where you will see below we used for couple photos and formals. This place is stunning and really reminded me of Rome because of its ruins.
Back to the pub and it was lovely to observe people being people with lots of hugs, kissed and tears. Meanwhile, I enjoyed a pint of Guinness to celebrate the couple and to open the 2025 wedding season.
Huge thank you to Tasha and Marcus for letting me be a part of their day. Because of people like them, I get to travel all over the UK so I will be forever grateful. In fact, it is people like Tasha and Marcus that I get to work weddings as a documentary photographer. For example, if this style did not exist I would not be involved in weddings.
