Langtons House wedding photographer
As a Langtons House wedding photographer, I have the joy of documenting weddings where the day feels completely natural, full of genuine moments, and all about the couple enjoying their friends and family. Molly and Shannon’s July 2025 wedding was one of those days. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this day was going to be full of laughter, love, and just pure fun. The ceremony took place at Langtons House in Hornchurch, Essex, a beautiful venue that perfectly complemented their relaxed, documentary-style approach. Both Molly and Shannon wanted to enjoy the day with their guests with minimal posing, and that’s exactly what we captured. The weather was lovely, giving us plenty of golden-hour magic for a few candid shots of the happy couple.
Molly looked stunning in her Serena Bridal gown, arriving in style with a vintage car provided by Arrow Vintage Cars. Both ladies had their hair and makeup expertly done—Molly by Natasha Sassy and Shannon by Zara—ready for a day that promised to be as memorable as it was fun.The evening reception at The Royal Oak in South Ockenden was a highlight. Guests embraced the Irish roots of the couple with plenty of Irish music and pints of Guinness flowing freely. And, of course, being West Ham fans, the DJ played “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles”, much to everyone’s delight.
A Day Full of Laughter, Love and Guinness
When Molly and Shannon arrived, they kicked off the evening with a fun twist: everyone took tequila rose shots together as a toast. It set the tone for a night full of laughter, dancing, and letting loose. Another quirky highlight was their love of dogs—while their own furry friends couldn’t be there, they had large pictures of their dogs blown up and placed on sticks for guests to hold on the dance floor. Guests absolutely loved it, and it added a humorous, heartwarming touch to the celebration.
The food was a street-food-style feast from British Event Catering, including fish and chips and pizza—a perfect combination to satisfy both kids and adults alike. The entertainment didn’t stop there: Charlotte Jones Illustrations captured guests’ personalities through live illustrations, with everyone giving her selfies to create unique keepsakes.
One funny anecdote from my perspective: I somehow managed to get a parking fine at The Royal Oak because I forgot to register my car. It’s currently in dispute (I have all the evidence I need as the wedding photographer on duty), but it definitely added a bit of comedy to my evening!
Molly and Shannon’s wedding was a perfect example of what I love about documentary wedding photography—genuine emotions, candid moments, and a day where everyone can truly be themselves. From the heartfelt smiles to the dancing, laughter, and quirky touches like dog photos and tequila rose shots, it was an unforgettable day.
If you’re looking for a Langtons House wedding photographer who focuses on capturing real moments rather than stiff poses, this wedding was exactly the kind of day that makes my job so rewarding.
